OLS week 3
The eek, we’ve had houseguests all week and it is suddenly saturday edition. Thankfully the CSA is keeping me not having to think much about this, which is a great feeling (not just for my laziness). We had:
Mergueza Lamb Sausage -Catskill Merino Farm (65)
Mixed greens with radishes, peppercress, herbs - CSA (88)
Kale with green garlic (? farmer’s market), oregano and sunchokes - CSA (88)

The sausage was very tasty but spicier than I was expecting (I must have become a whimp, this was labeled as the less spicy type). Grilled on a cast iron grill pan. I sauteed the kale with everything for the fastest side dish ever (I love kale, oh how I love kale). There is no shortage of lettuce around here (as I’m sure many a CSA subscriber can relate to) so that goes with everything. Must Keep Up.
The wine was not local - a gift from Easter dinner. I noticed the cork leaking today — I caught it in time, it hadn’t turned. I consider this a god given miraculous sign that it must be consumed immediately.
